Molecular Mass	The recombinant rat IL13RA1/Fc is a disulfide-linked homodimer. The reduced monomer comprises 557 amino acids and has a predicted molecular mass of 62.9 kDa. The apparent molecular mass of the protein is approximately 91 kDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.
Formulation	Lyophilized from a 0.2μm filtered solution of PBS, pH7.4. Normally 5 % - 8 % trehalose and mannitol are added as protectants before lyophilization. Specific concentrations are included in the hardcopy of COA.

Beschreibung von IL13RA1 Protein

Interleukin 13 receptor alpha 1 (IL13 Rα1), also known as CD213A1 (cluster of differentiation 213A1), is a subunit of the IL-13 receptor, and binds IL13 with a low affinity by itself. IL-13 is capable of binding two types of receptor: the heterodimer, composed of the IL13 Rα1 and the IL4Rα , transducing the IL13 signals; and the IL13Rα2, acting as a nonsignaling "decoy" receptor. IL13 Rα1 forms a functional receptor complex for IL-13 with IL4 receptor alpha (IL4Rα), a subunit shared by IL13 and IL4 receptors, transducing an IL13-dependent proliferative signal. IL13 Rα1 has also been shown to serve as an alternate accessory protein to the common cytokine receptor gamma chain for IL4 signaling, but cannot replace the function of gamma C in allowing enhanced IL2 binding activity. The human IL13 Rα1 cDNA encodes a 427 aa residue precursor protein, and the extracellular domain is composed of three fibronectin type I II domains, D1, D2, and D3, of which the last two comprise the cytokine receptor homology modules (CRHs). Human and mouse IL13 Rα1 share 76% aa sequence identity.
