Molecular Mass	The recombinant human MMP19 consists of 157 amino acids and predicts a molecular mass of 17.6 KDa. It migrates as an approximately 18 KDa band in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.
Formulation	Lyophilized from a 0.2μm filtered solution of 20mM Tris, 100mM NaCl, 0.5M Arg,5mM CaCl2, 0.03%Brij35, 50uM ZnCl2,1/0.1mM GSH/GSSG, pH 8.0. Normally 5 % - 8 % trehalose and mannitol are added as protectants before lyophilization. Specific concentrations are included in the hardcopy of COA.

Beschreibung von RASI-1 / MMP19 Protein

MMP19, also known as RASI-1 contains 4 hemopexin-like domains and belongs to the peptidase M10A family. It is a matrix metalloproteinase (MMP). MMPs, also called matrixins, are zinc-dependent endopeptidases that are the major proteases involved in ECM degradation. MMPs are capable of degrading a wide range of extracellular molecules and a number of bioactive molecules. MMP19 is expressed in mammary gland, placenta, lung, pancreas, ovary, small intestine, spleen, thymus, prostate, testis colon, heart and blood vessel walls. As an endopeptidase, MMP19 degrades various components of the extracellular matrix, such as aggrecan and cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (comp), during development, haemostasis and pathological conditions (arthritic disease). It may also play a role in neovascularization or angiogenesis and hydrolyzes collagen type IV, laminin, nidogen, nascin-C isoform, fibronectin, and type I gelatin.
