Specificity	Rat PRLR
Western blot	This antibody can be used at 1-2 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Rat PRLR in WB. Using a DAB detection system, the detection limit for Rat PRLR is approximately 0.5 ng/lane under non-reducing conditions and reducing conditions.
Direct ELISA	This antibody can be used at 0.5-1 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Rat PRLR. The detection limit for Rat PRLR is approximately 0.039 ng/well.
Storage	This antibody can be stored at 2℃-8℃ for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20℃ to -70℃. Preservative-Free. Sodium azide is recommended to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%-0.1%). It is toxic to cells and should be disposed of properly. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Hintergrund von PRLR Antikörper

Prolactin receptor (PRLR) is a single-pass transmembrane receptor belonging to the type Ⅰ cytokine receptor superfamily, and contains two fibronectin type-Ⅲ domains. PRLR is widely expressed in breast, placenta, kidney, liver and pancreas, and mainly serves as the receptor for the pituitary hormone prolactin (PRL), a secreted hormone that affects reproduction and homeostasis in vertebrates. All class 1 ligands activate their respective receptors by clustering mechanisms. Ligand binding results in the transmembrane PRLR dimerization, followed by phosphorylation and activation of the molecules invloved in the signaling pathways, such as Jak-STAT, Ras/Raf/MAPK. It has been shown that specific binding to PRLR can stimulate the breast cancer cells to grow and certain antagonists which bind but do not dimerize PRLR can inhibit the growth of breast cancer cells. Several isoforms have been described, and the soluble form are unable to transduce prolactin signaling.
