Produced in rabbits immunized with purified, recombinant Mouse IFNGR2 (rM IFNGR2;Catalog#50665-M08H; NP_032364.1; Met 1-Val 243). IFNGR2 specific IgG was purified by Mouse IFNGR2 affinity chromatography.

Specificity

Mouse IFNGR2

Western blot This antibody can be used at 0.1-0.2 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Mouse IFNGR2 in WB. Using a DAB detection system, the detection limit for Mouse IFNGR2 is approximately 0.5 ng/lane under non-reducing conditions and reducing conditions.
Direct ELISA This antibody can be used at 0.1-0.2 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Mouse IFNGR2. The detection limit for Mouse IFNGR2 is approximately 0.00245 ng/well.
Storage This antibody can be stored at 2℃-8℃ for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20℃ to -70℃. Preservative-Free.
Sodium azide is recommended to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%-0.1%). It is toxic to cells and should be disposed of properly. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Interferon gamma receptor 2 (IFN gamma R2, or IFNGR2) is a member of the type II cytokine receptor family. Ligand-dependent downregulation of the interferon gamma receptor signaling chain (IFNgammaR2/IFNGR2) has always been seen as a key mechanism for shielding T lymphocytes from the antiproliferative effects of the IFNgamma-signal transducer and activator of transcription 1 (STAT1) pathway. Now, however, a ligand-independent mechanism of IFNGR2 internalization is emerging as a more general way of limiting IFNgamma-STAT1 signaling in T cells, with insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) and iron as the main players. The C-terminal fragment (cytoplasmic domain) of IFNGR2 is expressed in human cancer cell lines of megakaryocytic cancer (DAMI), breast cancer (MDA-MD-468), and prostate cancer (PC3 cells). A cluster of four IFNGR2 variants strongly associated with fibrosis progression in chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection underlines the role of IFNgamma in the development of liver fibrosis that may pave the way for new treatments. The IFNGR2 deficiency is an exceedingly rare primary immunodeficiency, conferring almost selective predisposition to mycobacterial diseases.
