Preparation	This antibody was produced from a hybridoma resulting from the fusion of a mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a mouse immunized with purified, recombinant Human CD36 / SCARB3 (rh CD36 / SCARB3; Catalog#10752-H08H; NP_001001547.1; Gly 30-Asn 439). The IgG fraction of the cell culture supernatant was purified by Protein A affinity chromatography.

Western blot

This antibody can be used at 1-2 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Human CD36 in WB.

This antibody can be used at 0.5-1 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Human CD36.

Storage

This antibody can be stored at 2℃-8℃ for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20℃ to -70℃.Preservative-Free.
Sodium azide is recommended to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%-0.1%). It is toxic to cells and should be disposed of properly. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Hintergrund von CD36 / SCARB3 Antikörper

Platelet glycoprotein 4, also known as Leukocyte differentiation antigen CD36, GPIIIB, GP3B, FAT, and CD36, is integral membrane proteinfound on the surface of many cell types in vertebrate animals. It belongs to theCD36 family and is found on platelets, erythrocytes, monocytes, differentiated adipocytes, mammary epithelial cells, spleen cells and some skin microdermal endothelial cells. CD36 has also been implicated in hemostasis, thrombosis, malaria, inflammation, lipid metabolism andatherogenesis. CD36 seems to have numerous potential physiological functions. It binds to collagen, thrombospondin, anionic phospholipids and oxidized LDL. It directly mediates cytoadherence of Plasmodium falciparum parasitized erythrocytes and binds long chain fatty acids. CD36 may also function as a cell adhesion molecule and in the transport and/or as a regulator of fatty acid transport. Defects in CD36 are the cause of platelet glycoprotein IV deficiencyalso known as CD36 deficiency. As a receptor for thrombospondin 1, CD36 plays a role in the regulation of angiogenesis, which may be a therapeutic strategy for controlling the dissemination of malignant neoplasms.
