Specificity	Mouse SELL / CD62L / L-selectin
Flow Cytometry	BALB/c splenocytes were treated with Mouse BD Fc Block™ purified anti-CD16/CD32 mAb 2.4G2 (Cat. No. 553141) and stained with FITC-conjugated anti-Mouse CD62L(50045-R414-F). The histogram were derived from the gated events based on light scattering characteristics of lymphocytes. Flow cytometric analysis of CD62L expression on spleen lymphocytes. Storage	This antibody is stable for 12 months from date of receipt when stored at 2℃- 8℃. Protected from prolonged exposure to light. Do not freeze ! Sodium azide is toxic to cells and should be disposed of properly. Flush with large volumes of water during disposal.

L-selectin (SELL), also known asCD62L, is acell adhesion molecule found onleukocytes. It belongs to theselectin family of proteins, which recognise sialylated carbohydrate groups and are involved in the regulation of leukocyte traffic. Selectins are composed of an N-terminal C-type lectin domain, a single EGF domain, a variable number of short consensus repeat (SCR) domains, a transmembrane region and a cytoplasmic tail. L-selectin is the only selectin expressed on leukocytes and mediates a number of leukocyte-endothelial interactions. L-selectin acts as a "homing receptor" for leukocytes to enter secondary lymphoid tissues via high endothelial venules.Ligandspresent onendothelialcells will bind to leukocyte expressing L-selectin, slowing leukocyte trafficking through the blood, and facilitating entry into a secondary lymphoid organ at that point. L-selectin is commonly found on the cell surfaces of T cells. Naive T-lymphocytes, which have not yet encountered their specific antigen, need to enter secondary lymph nodes to encounter their antigen. Central memory T-lymphocytes, which have encountered antigen, express L-selectin to localize in secondary lymphoid organs.
