Molecular Mass	The recombinant rat CD226/Fc is a disulfide-linked homodimer. The reduced monomer comprises 475 amino acids and has a predicted molecular mass of 53.6 kDa. The apparent molecular mass of the protein is approximately 62-68 kDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.
Formulation	Lyophilized from sterile PBS, pH 7.4. Normally 5 % - 8 % trehalose and mannitol are added as protectants before lyophilization. Specific concentrations are included in the hardcopy of COA. Please contact us for any concerns or special requirements.

Beschreibung von CD226 / DNAM-1 Protein

The leukocyte adhesion molecule DNAM1, also known as CD226, is a transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily. DNAM1 is identified as an intercellular adhesion molecule which are constitutively expressed on the majority of CD4+ and CD8+ T lymphocytes, natural killer (NK) cells, monocytes/macrophages, and a subset of B lymphocytes. The poliovirus receptor (PVR or CD155) and its family member nectin 2 (CD112) have been identified as the ligands for DNAM1. Interaction of DNAM1 with the ligands induces NK cell- and CD8+ T cell-mediated cytotoxicity and cytokine secretion. DNAM1 also plays an important role in immune surveillance of tumor development and is involved in triggering naive T cell differentiation and proliferation. Similarly, murine DNAM1 and PVR homologues physically and functionally bind each other in vivo, and ligand binding of murine DNAM-1 induced a costimulatory signal in antigen-specific CD8+ T cells. Within the ECD, mouse DNAM1 shares 52% and 86% aa sequence identity with human and rat DNAM1, respectively.
