Klrb1a (killer cell lectin-like receptor subfamily B member 1A), also known as NKR-P1A (Natural killer cell surface protein P1A), is a lectinlike surface molecule expressed on rat natural killer (NK) cells. NKR-P1A has structural and functional features of an activating NK cell receptor. NKR-P1A is a target-specific receptor that activates natural killing. NKR-P1 represent a family of activating receptors in rodent natural killer cells related to C-type animal lectins. NKR-P1A is a homodimeric type II transmembrane protein of the C-type lectin family found on natural killer (NK) cells and NK-like T cells and is an activator of cytotoxicity.
