Molecular Mass:
The secreted recombinant mouse PILRB1/Fc is a disulfide-linked homodimer. The reduced monomer comprises 406 amino acids and has a calculated molecular mass of 45.8 kDa. As a result of glycosylation, the apparent molecular mass of rmIL1RAPL1/Fc monomer is approximately 55-60 kDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.

Storage:
Store it under sterile conditions at -70℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Paired immunoglobulin-like type 2 receptor beta 1 (PILRB1) is one of Paired receptors. Paired receptors consist of highly related activating and inhibitory receptors and are widely involved in the regulation of the immune system. PILRA is thought to act as a cellular signaling inhibitory receptor by recruiting cytoplasmic phosphatases like PTPN6 / SHP-1 and PTPN11 / SHP-2 via their SH2 domains that block signal transduction through dephosphorylation of signaling molecules. PILRB is important in control of cell signaling via SHP-1 through a balance between PILRalpha-mediated inhibition and PILRbeta-mediated activation. There are immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motif (ITIM) –bearing receptors and their non-ITIM-bearing activating counterpart in cell signaling pathways. PILRB is the non-ITIM-bearing member of the receptor pair which has a truncated cytoplasmic tail relative to its ITIM-bearing partner and functions in the activating role.
