Molecular Mass

The recombinant human DDR2 /GST chimera consists of 671 amino acids and has a calculated molecular mass of 77.1 kDa. The recombinant protein migrates as an approximately 77 kDa band in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.

Formulation Lyophilized from a 0.2μm filtered solution of 20mM Tris,500mM NaCl, pH 7.4, 10%glycerol.
  1. Normally 5 % - 8 % trehalose and mannitol are added as protectants before lyophilization. Specific concentrations are included in the hardcopy of COA.

Beschreibung von DDR2 / CD167b / NTRKR3 Protein

Discoidin domain receptor 2 (DDR2), also known as TYR010 and TKT, is a type I  transmembrane glycoprotein and belongs to discoidin-like domain containing subfamily of receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs). All family members share the discoidin (DS) homology domain, a long juxtamembrane domain, a transmembrane region, and a tyrosine kinase domain. DDR2 is mainly expressed in mesenchymal cells and is unique among RTKs in that its ligand is fibrillar collagen rather than a growth factor-like peptide. Ligand binding induces DDR2 autophosphorylation in the cytoplasmic domain and the adaptor proteins SHC have been identified as key signaling mediators in DDR2 signal transduction. Activation of DDR2 by collagen induces upregulation of MMP-1, -2, and -13 as well as DDR2 itself. It has been suggested that DDR2 plays an important role in mediating chondrocyte, hepatic stellate cells and fibroblast migration and proliferation by MMP2–dependent mechanism. Accordingly, aberrant expression of DDR2 is implicated in tumor growth and invasion.
