Specificity	Human CDON
Western blot	This antibody can be used at 0.1-0.2 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Human CDON in WB. Using a DAB detection system, the detection limit for Human CDON is approximately 1 ng/lane under non-reducing conditions and 8 ng/lane under reducing conditions.
Direct ELISA	This antibody can be used at 0.1-0.2 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Human CDON. The detection limit for Human CDON is approximately 0.039 ng/well.
Storage	This antibody can be stored at 2℃-8℃ for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20℃ to -70℃. Preservative-Free. Sodium azide is recommended to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%-0.1%). It is toxic to cells and should be disposed of properly. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Cell adhesion molecule-related, down-regulated by oncogenes (CDON or CDO), an Ig superfamily member, is a component of a cell surface receptor that positively regulates skeletal myogenesis. CDO and MyoD are involved in a positive feedback loop that is central to the inverse relationship between cell differentiation and transformation. It is proposed that CDO mediates, at least in part, the effects of cell-cell interactions between muscle precursors that are critical in myogenesis. The Bnip-2/Cdc42 and JLP/p38alpha/beta complexes associate in a Cdo-dependent manner, resulting in Bnip-2/Cdc42-dependent p38alpha/beta activation and stimulation of cell differentiation. The immunoglobulin superfamily members CDON and Brother of CDO (BOC) are components of a cell surface receptor that positively regulates myogenesis in vitro. Expression of Cdo and Boc in myoblast cell lines is downregulated by the ras oncogene, and forced re-expression of either Cdo or Boc can override ras-induced inhibition of myogenic differentiation. CDO and BOC play a role in the inverse relationship between differentiation and transformation of cells in the skeletal muscle lineage. CDON and BOC are the closest mammalian relatives of Drosophila Ihog, and CDO binds Sonic Hedgehog (Hh) with micromolar affinity and positively regulates Hh signaling. all mammalian Hh proteins bind CDO and BOC in the same manner.
