Molecular Mass	The recombinant human CD1B /Fc is a disulfide-linked homodimer. The reduced monomer comprises 527 amino acids and has a predicted molecular mass of 58.6 kDa. The apparent molecular mass of the protein is approximately 59-69 kDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.
Formulation	Lyophilized from a 0.2μm filtered solution of PBS, pH7.4. Normally 5 % - 8 % trehalose and mannitol are added as protectants before lyophilization. Specific concentrations are included in the hardcopy of COA.

Storage	Store it under sterile conditions at -70℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Beschreibung von CD1B Protein

CD1B is a member of the CD1 family. CD1 family is composed by transmembrane glycoproteins, which are structurally related to the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) proteins and form heterodimers with beta-2-microglobulin. The CD1 proteins mediate the presentation of primarily lipid and glycolipid antigens of self or microbial origin to T cells. The CD1 family members are thought to differ in their cellular localization and specificity for particular lipid ligands. CD1B contains 1 Ig-like (immunoglobulin-like) domain and localizes to the plasma membrane and to recycling vesicles of the early endocytic system. As an antigen-presenting protein, CD1B binds self and non-self lipid and glycolipid antigens and presents them to T-cell receptors on natural killer T-cells. CD1B is expressed on cortical thymocytes, epidermal Langerhans cells, dendritic cells, on certain T-cell leukemias, and in various other tissues.
