Specificity	Human beta-Catenin / CTNNB1
Western blot	This antibody can be used at 0.1-0.2 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Human CTNNB1 in WB. Using a DAB detection system, the detection limit for Human CTNNB1 is approximately 1 ng/lane under non-reducing conditions and 0.5 ng/lane under reducing conditions.
Direct ELISA	This antibody can be used at 0.1-0.2 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Human CTNNB1. The detection limit for Human CTNNB1 is approximately 0.00975 ng/well.
Storage	This antibody can be stored at 2℃-8℃ for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20℃ to -70℃. Preservative-Free. Sodium azide is recommended to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%-0.1%). It is toxic to cells and should be disposed of properly. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Catenin beta-1, also known as CTNNB1, is a cytoplasm and nucleus protein which belongs to thebeta-catenin family. Catenin beta-1 / CTNNB1 contains 12ARM repeats. Catenin beta-1 / CTNNB1 is expressed in several hair follicle cell types: basal and peripheral matrix cells, and cells of the outer and inner root sheaths. Catenin beta-1 / CTNNB1 is also expressed in colon. Catenin beta-1 / CTNNB1 is involved in the regulation of cell adhesion. The majority of beta-catenin is localized to the cell membrane and is part of E-cadherin/catenin adhesion complexes which are proposed to couple cadherins to the actin cytoskeleton. Catenin beta-1 / CTNNB1 is involved in signal transduction through the Wnt pathway. Nuclear beta-catenin is involved in transcriptional regulation by association with transcription factors of the TCF / LEF family. Defects in CTNNB1 are associated with colorectal cancer (CRC), pilomatrixoma (PTR), medulloblastoma (MDB) susceptibility to ovarian cancer (OC).
