Direct ELISA	This antibody can be used at 0.1-0.2 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Mouse THOP1. The detection limit for Mouse THOP1 is approximately 0.00975 ng/well.
Storage	This antibody can be stored at 2℃-8℃ for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20℃ to -70℃. Preservative-Free. Sodium azide is recommended to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%-0.1%). It is toxic to cells and should be disposed of properly. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Hintergrund von THOP1 Antikörper

Protein Description Thimet oligopeptidase 1 (THOP1), also known as Thimet oligopeptidase, EC 3.4.24.15, or EP24.15. Human endopeptidase (THOP1) is localized on chromosome 19, which againsts toxic effects of Abeta in the early stages of Alzheimer disease (AD) pathology, and suggest that the observed increase in THOP1 expression might be part of a compensatory defense mechanism of the brain against an increased Abeta load. THOP1 was originally described as a neuropeptide-metabolizing enzyme, highly expressed in the brain, kidneys and neuroendocrine tissue. EP24.15 lacks a typical signal peptide sequence for entry into the secretory pathway and is secreted by cells via an unconventional and unknown mechanism. THOP1/EP24.15 actions are increased in androgen-dependent prostate cancer compared to androgen-independent; augmented by androgen treatment, and inhibited by clinical GnRH analogs.
