Specificity	Human SerpinA1
Western blot	This antibody can be used at 1-2 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Human SerpinA1 in WB.
Direct ELISA	This antibody can be used at 0.5-1.0 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Human SerpinA1. The detection limit for Human SerpinA1 is approximately 0.00975 ng/well.
Storage	This antibody can be stored at 2℃-8℃ for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20℃ to -70℃. Preservative-Free. Sodium azide is recommended to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%-0.1%). It is toxic to cells and should be disposed of properly. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Hintergrund von SerpinA1 Antikörper

SerpinA1, also known as Alpha-1 antitrypsin (A1AT), is a prototype member of the Serpin superfamily of the serine protease inhibitors. SerpinA1 is synthesized in hepatocytes, and to a lesser extent, in macrophages as well as intestinal epithelial cell lines. SerpinA1 is secreted as the abundant proteinase inhibitor in the circulation whose targets include elastase, plasmin, thrombin, trypsin, chymotrypsin, and plasminogen activator. Point mutations in the native SerpinA1 variants result in SerpinA1 deficiency, and consequently lead to severe lesions. For example, the well recognized S and Z alleles form polymers due to the conformational transition and are retained within the endoplasmic reticulum of hepatocytes. Accordingly, SerpinA1 deficiency in circulation is associated with emphysema or liver disease.
