Specificity	Human Neuroligin 3 / NLGN3
Western blot	This antibody can be used at 0.1-0.2 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Human NLGN3 in WB. Using a DAB detection system, the detection limit for Human NLGN3 is approximately 0.5 ng/lane under non-reducing conditions reducing conditions.
Direct ELISA	This antibody can be used at 0.1-0.2 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Human NLGN3. The detection limit for Human NLGN3 is approximately 0.00245 ng/well.
Storage	This antibody can be stored at 2℃-8℃ for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20℃ to -70℃. Preservative-Free. Sodium azide is recommended to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%-0.1%). It is toxic to cells and should be disposed of properly. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Neuroligin-3, also known as Gliotactin homolog and NLGN3 is a single-pass type I membrane protein which belongs to thetype-B carboxylesterase/lipase family. Neuroligin-3 / NLGN3 is a neuronal cell surface protein thought to be involved in cell-cell-interactions by forming intercellular junctions through binding to beta-neurexins. It may play a role in formation or maintenance of synaptic junctions. Neuroligin-3 / NLGN3 may also play a role in glia-glia or glia-neuron interactions in the developing peripheral nervous system. Neuroligins are cell-adhesion molecules located at the postsynaptic side of the synapse. Neuroligins interact with beta-neurexins and this interaction is involved in the formation of functional synapses. Mutations in two X-linked neuroligin genes, NLGN3 and NLGN4, have been implicated in pathogenesis of autism. Defects in NLGN3 may be the cause of susceptibility to autism X-linked type 1 (AUTSX1) which is a pervasive developmental disorder (PDD), prototypically characterized by impairments in reciprocal social interaction and communication, restricted and stereotyped patterns of interests and activities, and the presence of developmental abnormalities by 3 years of age. Defects in NLGN3 may be the cause of susceptibility to X-linked Asperger syndrome 1 (ASPGX1) which is considered to be a form of childhood autism.
