Molecular Mass	The recombinant mouse TFPI2 /Fc is a disulfide-linked homodimer. The reduced monomer comprises 430 amino acids and has a predicted molecular mass of 48.4 KDa. The apparent molecular mass of the protein is approximately 53 KDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions due to glycosylation.
Formulation	Lyophilized from a 0.2μm filtered solution of PBS,pH7.4. Normally 5 % - 8 % trehalose and mannitol are added as protectants before lyophilization. Specific concentrations are included in the hardcopy of COA.

Beschreibung von TFPI2 / PP5 Protein

Mouse tissue factor pathway inhibitor-2 ( TFPI-2 ), a member of the Kunitz-type serine proteinase inhibitor family, is a structural homologue of tissue factor pathway inhibitor ( TFPI ). It is a 32 kDa matrix-associated glycoprotein consisting of a short amino-terminal region, three tandem Kunitz-type domains and a positively charged carboxy-terminal tail. TFPI2 is highly abundant in the full-term placenta and widely expressed in various adult human tissues, such as the liver, skeletal muscle, heart, kidney, and pancreas. TFPI-2 inhibits a broad spectrum of serine proteinases almost exclusively through its first Kunitz-type domain, such as the tissue factor/factor VIIa (TF/VIIa) complex and a wide variety of serine proteinases including plasmin, plasma kallikrein, factor XIa, trypsin, and chymotrypsin. Reduced synthesis of TFPI-2 has been related to numerous pathophysiological processes such as inflammation, angiogenesis, atherosclerosis, retinal degeneration and tumor growth / metastasis.
