Molecular Mass	The recombinant mouse CTNNB1/GST chimera consists of 1018 amino acids and has a calculated molecular mass of 113 kDa. The recombinant protein migrates as an approximately 115 kDa band in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.
Formulation	Lyophilized from a 0.2μm filtered solution of 20mM Tris,500mM NaCl, pH 8.0, 10%gly. Normally 5 % - 8 % trehalose and mannitol are added as protectants before lyophilization. Specific concentrations are included in the hardcopy of COA.

Beschreibung von CTNNB1 / Catenin beta-1 Protein

Catenin beta-1, also known as CTNNB1, is a cytoplasm and nucleus protein which belongs to the beta-catenin family. Catenin beta-1 / CTNNB1 contains 12 ARM repeats. Catenin beta-1 / CTNNB1 is expressed in several hair follicle cell types: basal and peripheral matrix cells, and cells of the outer and inner root sheaths. Catenin beta-1 / CTNNB1 is also expressed in colon. Catenin beta-1 / CTNNB1 is involved in the regulation of cell adhesion. The majority of beta-catenin is localized to the cell membrane and is part of E-cadherin/catenin adhesion complexes which are proposed to couple cadherins to the actin cytoskeleton. Catenin beta-1 / CTNNB1 is involved in signal transduction through the Wnt pathway. Nuclear beta-catenin is involved in transcriptional regulation by association with transcription factors of the TCF / LEF family. Defects in CTNNB1 are associated with colorectal cancer (CRC), pilomatrixoma (PTR), medulloblastoma (MDB) susceptibility to ovarian cancer (OC).
