Specificity	Human Carboxypeptidase A1 / CPA1
Western blot	This antibody can be used at 0.1-0.2 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Human CPA1 in WB. Using a DAB detection system, the detection limit for Human CPA1 is approximately 0.5 ng/lane under non-reducing conditions and reducing conditions.
Direct ELISA	This antibody can be used at 0.1-0.2 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Human CPA1. The detection limit for Human CPA1 is approximately 0.00975 ng/well.
Storage	This antibody can be stored at 2℃-8℃ for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20℃ to -70℃. Preservative-Free. Sodium azide is recommended to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%-0.1%). It is toxic to cells and should be disposed of properly. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Hintergrund von Carboxypeptidase A1 / CPA1 Antikörper

Carboxypeptidase A1 (CPA1) is secreted as a pancreatic procarboxypeptidase, and cleaves the C-terminal amide or ester bond of peptides that have a free C-terminal carboxyl group, with the preference of residues with aromatic or branched aliphatic side chains. CPA1 comprises a signal peptide, a pro region and a mature chain, and can be activated after cleavage of the pro peptide. In contrast to procarboxypeptidase B which was always secreted by the pancreas as a monomer, procarboxypeptidase A occurs as a monomer and/or associated to one or two functionally different proteins, such as zymogen E, and is involved in zymogen inhibition. Three different forms of pancreatic procarboxypeptidase A have been isolated.
